Training and Therapy
MiCBT is taught in individual therapy as well as in groups. Therapy typically takes 8-12 weeks but may require longer for complex problems. While dealing with their presenting problems clients learn to apply mindfulness skills to their own situation and are supported in developing their mindfulness practice.

Mindfulness integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for depression, anxiety and stress
This eight week course teaches mindfulness skills to facilitate heightened awareness of thinking patterns and body sensations which may contribute to depression, anxiety and stress.
Mindfulness based therapy has proved to be an effective treatment approach in many studies in both Europe and the US.
MiCBT is designed to enhance mental wellbeing and resilience providing benefits in both short and long term through learning a number of mindfulness techniques and experiencing their impact on daily life. It is a practical and powerful way to address issues of recurring stress, anxiety and depression as well as assisting with anger management, coping with chronic pain and attentional issues. MiCBT is developed by Dr. Bruno Cayoun, from the MiCBT Institute and has some similarities to the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn from the University of Massachusetts and British psychologists, Segal, Teasdale and Williams. MiCBT integrates mindfulness skills with cognitive and behavioural techniques.

Individual sessions may be made available to participants during the course where required.
POSSIBLE DAY TIME COURSES - To date we have offered all our course in the evenings (6-8pm) and we have been asked to run some courses during the day - we are prepared to do this if we have sufficient interest. So if you would be interested in doing a course in the day time (possibly Tuesday mornings at 10-12noon) please let us know through the course enquiry function.

Full fee - $560 ($160 medicare rebate for those with a mental Health plan)
Concession fee $400 ($160 rebate for those with a mental health plan - ie $30 per 2 hour session)
Financial hardship - special rates may be available on application.
Cost includes course manual, practice CDs and free ongoing mindfulness sessions.
